How It Works

The current converter is designed for PDFs that already contain selectable text. It creates an editable Microsoft Word DOCX document; it is not an exact visual-reproduction or OCR service.

Step 1: Choose one supported PDF

  • Select one PDF file up to 25 MB and 200 pages.
  • The upload is sent over HTTPS.
  • The service checks the file size, PDF signature, MIME type, and basic PDF structure before conversion.
  • Password-protected PDFs are not accepted.

Step 2: Convert selectable text

The service processes the file on the server, extracts selectable text, and creates a DOCX. PDF page breaks are retained and line order and spacing are approximated.

Images, tables, columns, and complex formatting may be omitted or rearranged. OCR for scanned PDFs, batch conversion, and additional output formats are not available in the current release.

Step 3: Download and review the DOCX

Download the completed DOCX and review it in Microsoft Word, LibreOffice, Google Docs, or another compatible editor. Check reading order, spacing, and any complex content before relying on the result.

What happens to the files

  • The source PDF is removed after processing.
  • Download access to the generated DOCX ends within 30 minutes.
  • The cleanup service then removes the generated file and verifies deletion.
  • Failed and cancelled conversions follow the same verified-deletion path.

For the best result

  • Use a PDF in which you can select and copy the text.
  • Prefer simple, single-column layouts.
  • Do not upload a scan that requires OCR.
  • Keep your original file and review the generated DOCX before using it.
