This changelog lists capabilities that are available and verified in the live product. It does not list planned features as if they have already shipped.

Version 2.2.2 — August 17, 2026

Documentation and trust update. This release aligns public product information with the converter that is currently available.

  • Added direct links from the converter page to the 24-file quality test, PDF to Word guides, the tables-and-images guide, and file-security information.
  • Updated the About page with the site-level editorial byline, verification method, source policy, and corrections process.
  • Removed office hours and fixed response-time promises from the Contact page.
  • Replaced broad footer quality claims with text-first product language and removed a broken legacy link.
  • Rewrote the copyright-complaint page using current U.S. Copyright Office guidance without claiming registered-agent or safe-harbor status.
  • Refreshed page descriptions so they describe the current content and product limits.

Converter capability: Version 2.2.2 does not change the conversion engine. The service still converts one selectable-text PDF at a time, up to 25 MB and 200 pages. OCR, password-protected PDFs, batch conversion, and reliable preservation of images, tables, columns, or complex formatting are not available.

Version 2.2.1 — August 2026

  • Text-first conversion for one PDF containing selectable text.
  • Editable Microsoft Word DOCX output with PDF page breaks and approximate line layout.
  • Limits displayed consistently: 25 MB, 200 pages, and one file per conversion.
  • Upload validation for file size, PDF signature, MIME type, and basic PDF structure.
  • Randomized job identifiers, separate access tokens, and private temporary storage outside the public web directory.
  • Source PDF removal after processing and verified cleanup of generated DOCX files no later than 30 minutes after completion.
  • Clear upload, queue, conversion, cancellation, error, and expiration states.

Known limitations in this release

  • OCR and scanned-PDF conversion are not available.
  • Password-protected PDFs are not accepted.
  • Images, tables, columns, and complex formatting may be omitted or rearranged.
  • Batch conversion and additional output formats are not available.

Release-note policy

A feature is added to this page only after it has been implemented and tested. Earlier statements about OCR, table preservation, batch conversion, or a mobile-app launch did not describe the live release and have been removed.
