Terms

These Terms of Use apply when you use PDF-to-Word.tools. If you do not agree with them, do not upload a document or use the converter.

Effective date and last update: August 11, 2026.

1. Service description

The service converts selectable text from one PDF into an editable Microsoft Word DOCX document. The current limits are one file per conversion, 25 MB, and 200 pages. OCR, password-protected PDFs, batch conversion, and exact preservation of images, tables, columns, or complex formatting are not available.

2. Your documents and file deletion

  • You must have the legal right to upload and process each document.
  • The source PDF is removed after processing.
  • Download access to the generated DOCX ends within 30 minutes, after which the cleanup service removes the file and verifies deletion.
  • Failed and cancelled jobs follow the same cleanup process.

Do not upload a highly sensitive document unless the processing and retention model described in the Privacy Policy and Security page meets your requirements.

3. Acceptable use

You may not use the service to violate law or third-party rights; upload malware or harmful content; interfere with the service or its security; evade limits; automate abusive traffic; or attempt unauthorized access to another user’s conversion.

4. Conversion results

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Conversion may fail, and output may contain missing, rearranged, or inaccurate content. Keep your original PDF and review the DOCX before relying on it. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, exact formatting, or fitness for a particular purpose.

5. Intellectual property

The website’s original software, design, and site content are protected by applicable intellectual-property rules. Your rights in the document you upload remain yours or the relevant rights holder’s; using the converter does not transfer ownership of your document to us.

6. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss resulting from use of the converter, inability to use it, or reliance on a generated file. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

7. Changes and availability

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features and may update these terms when the service changes. The effective date at the top of this page will be revised when material changes are published.

8. Contact

For questions about these terms, use the Contact page. Do not attach a sensitive document to your message.
